Opinión:
Escogí leer este libro principalmente por que me había leído la saga “La Selección” de la misma autora y, siendo sincera, por las preciosas imágenes que tienen en la portada.
Como persona que ha vivido toda su vida delante del mar, el tema de las sirenas es algo que me ha atraído desde niña, así que no pude desperdiciar la oportunidad. Que sea una historia de un solo libro también lo hace muy atrayente. Aunque, tengo que decir, que eso hizo que me quedase con ganas de más, puesto que, por ejemplo, el tema del romance de Kahlen con Akinli fue un poco precipitado y rápido, para mi gusto.
Si nos centramos en la descripción de las emociones y los personajes, lo borda. Sus personajes tienen una personalidad compleja que hace que des del primer momento te puedas sentir identificado con ellos. Por ejemplo, tenemos a Oceania, que actúa como madre pero al mismo tiempo no deja de ser como una niña pequeña a la que no le gusta compartir.
En conclusión, no os quiero decir más, puesto que tiendo a acabar contando toda la trama si hablo mucho. Tendréis que leerlo vosotros mismos! Es un libro muy ameno y corto que os hará pasar un buen rato. Eso sí, tened en cuenta que este es el primer libro que escribió la autora, antes de “La Selección” y su estilo de escritura ha mejorado des de entonces.

I chose to read this book mainly because I had read the “The Selection” of the same author and, being honest, for the beautiful images they have on the cover.
As a person who has lived all her life in front of the sea, the theme of sirens is something that has attracted me since I was a child, so I could not waste the opportunity. The fact that it is a single book story makes it very attractive too. Although, I have to say, that made me want more, since, for example, the subject of Kahlen’s romance with Akinli was a bit hasty and fast, in my opinion.
If we focus on the description of emotions and characters, she nails it. Her characters have a complex personality that makes you feel identified with them from the very first moment. For example, we have Oceania, which acts as a mother but at the same time does not stop being like a little girl who does not like to share.
